Hi swappers,
As you can see on the picture of the coincard,it is the regular 2 euro Netherlands 2019 in BU! NO CC!
Extra token is of Rembrandt, no value, only token.
There will be 4895 coincards issued.
Best regards,
Rudy

I understand your confusion.
This is just a way of the commercial company KNM to make more money.
It is very disappointing that Netherlands do not issue a real 2 euro Rembrandt coin as commemorative.

The least i can say is that is very misleading. The way how they advertise this small kit is like it looks like they issued a cc 2€
I see them allready on websites for 20 euro.
Indeed, they should have better issued a real cc 2€. Dirty game in my eyes. I was surely not the only one who was mistakenly fault. Reminds me of the Essent phonecall story that maked his way to Belgium last week.

The 20 euro is not very strange.
In the Netherlands for some reason I don't understand there is a group of collectors that will buy anything as long as it is in a coincard. Even old coins from the "gulden" period which are not rare at all ar put into coincards by KNM and sell very well for high prices.
Just have a look overhere: https://www.knm.nl/coincards/nl/page/2547/#/?CPI=3
I think they discovered that when they put the 5 an 10 eurocoins into cards they sold a lot better. The first 4 Dutch 5 and 10 eurocoins where not initially put into coincards, when the 5th coin was issued they also issued the first 4 in coincards in a limited amount which are extremely expensive now.
In my opinion this has nothing to do with coin collecting, but only collecting package material...
As you can see here KNM even issues a coincard catalog https://www.knm.nl/coincard-catalogus-2 ... duct/9998/
They suggest it are "official" issues, but what is the definition of official? KNM is just a commercial company owned by a Belgian investment company, so what makes their issues "official"?

I don’t know what to say about it. Actually i will say. Disgusting! Absolutely right about the fact they sell official issued package material. Same here.
Last i encountered a story here in Belgium about the official issued tokens. The collectors were told they had official money. But after some years one asks how much is it worth because there is a long time since i bought.
He was told: nothing . Actually the zilver wasn’t sulver because in that period it was very expensive so they faked it and sold them for silver.
I pm the article
